How our Health Screening Works

How does the at-home blood test work?

Employees sign up to the Qured app and receive a simple, pain-free blood collection kit delivered to their home. We provide detailed instructions and a video appointment to help even the most squeamish or needle-phobic complete the test (which has no visible needles!). You’ll then pack up your blood sample and ship it off to one of our partner labs and receive a result typically within 48-72 hours. The majority of our tests include a clinical results appointment as standard, so you’ll then be invited to book an appointment with one of our clinicians to discuss the results and build a personal care plan.

How does at-home testing compare to in-person?

At-home testing is more convenient, accessible and scalable for dispersed workforces. It removes travel barriers, increases equity of access for those who work shifts or can’t easily reach a clinic, increases uptake and delivers the same high-quality results processed by accredited laboratories. Our test ranges are as comprehensive as the majority of in-clinic tests, covering all of the most common drivers of long-term illness.

What biomarkers do you test for?

We can test hundreds of different biomarkers ranging from vitamins to hormones, cholesterol, liver and kidney function, cancer risk markers and more. Find out more on our test pages, or get in touch.

How long does the test take?

Collecting a sample takes around 10 minutes. Results are typically available within a few days.

How do employees receive their results?

Results are shared through the Qured app in a clear, easy-to-understand format with personalised notes. If anything is abnormal, they are also prompted to book an appointment with one of our clinicians, and results are released together with detailed notes after their clinical appointment.

What happens if someone has an abnormal result?

They automatically receive a video appointment with one of our clinicians to explain the results and set achievable lifestyle goals. One of the things which sets Qured apart is that we offer a clinical consultation for abnormal results as standard in our core packages, because we have found the expert interpretation of the results together with the detailed in-app health profile a user creates delivers better outcomes and increased behaviour change than simply providing results as a pdf to the user without any context.

What if an employee needs further medical attention?

Our GPs will provide a referral for the user to take either to their NHS GP or private providers via insurance like Bupa, AXA, Aviva, or Vitality. Since we use NHS accredited labs, clinicians, and NICE recommended tests, our referral letters are accepted universally and the individual can skip weeks if not months in getting to the recommended next clinical step.

Do employees need to travel for any part of the process?

No. Testing, results and consultations can all be completed remotely.

Is the test painful?

No! The TapII blood collection device we use is truly pain-free. We consistently receive excellent feedback on the easy and pain-free testing process.
